#Does my site have to use Cloudflare?

No. Any site can use the hosted script. First-party serving is available only to some workspaces. Compare them.

#Will it slow my site down?

The roughly 10 KB script is under 4 KB compressed and loads with defer. It sends a pageview and 20-second presence pings while the visitor is active.

#Is Stickybeak a Plausible or Fathom alternative?

It can be, if Stickybeak's live multi-site wall, goals, revenue attribution and privacy mode fit what you need. Standard mode uses three first-party cookies; privacy mode uses none.

#Do I need a cookie banner?

Rules vary. Review Consent and cookie banners with a qualified adviser.

#Does it respect Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control?

No. Neither mode reads them, so those browsers are counted like any other. A visitor stops Stickybeak counting them with stickybeak:ignore, and your team's own visits are left out automatically.

#How live is live?

Visits appear within seconds. The wall covers 30 minutes; “on the site now” means active within one minute.

#Are bots counted?

No. They are excluded from metrics and reported separately. See Bot filtering.

#How long is data kept?

Raw visits: 32 days. Daily totals and purchases: while the site exists. See Data retention.

#Can I track several sites or an SPA?

Yes. See multiple sites and subdomains or single-page apps.

#How do I exclude myself?

Run localStorage.setItem("stickybeak:ignore", "true") on your site. More options.

#Does it work in an iframe?

Not by default. data-debug="true" enables tracking inside a frame.

#Can I track signups and sales?

Yes. Add a custom goal and send purchase revenue.

#Who can see my data?

Your workspace. Admins manage sites and settings; members can view them. Data is not shared with advertisers or other sites.

#What is a session or bounce?

A session ends after 30 inactive minutes. A bounce is one pageview lasting under 10 seconds.
