Substack
Substack analytics cannot include Stickybeak because publications do not accept custom JavaScript on any plan. For a lighter alternative to Google Analytics, track outbound Substack clicks and campaign visits on your own site.
Add the script
There is no supported place to add it. Substack accepts IDs for named services such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel; embeds are restricted to supported providers, and a custom domain does not change this.
Instead, run Stickybeak on your own site. It records outbound clicks to Substack. Add UTM tags to links back from posts and emails; utm_source=substack groups them under Email. See UTM tags. For analytics on the publication itself, use a platform that accepts scripts, such as Ghost or beehiiv.
