Squarespace
Squarespace analytics with Stickybeak tracks site visits, campaigns, form completions and button goals through Code Injection. It is a lighter alternative to Google Analytics for Squarespace and takes about two minutes to add.
Code Injection needs Core, Plus, Advanced, or an older plan that included it, such as Business or Commerce.
Add the script
Open Code Injection
Go to Pages → Website Tools → Code Injection.
Paste into Header
<script defer data-site="YOUR_SITE_ID" data-domain="example.com" src="https://app.usestickybeak.com/_cfw/s.js" ></script>Save
The change is live immediately.
Check it's working
Open the custom domain in a private window while logged out. The .squarespace.com address counts only if that is your configured domain. Then follow Verify your install.
Track goals
Squarespace conversion tracking
For forms, set Post-Submit to redirect to a thank-you page, then add ⚙ Settings → Goals → a page visit. Button blocks cannot take attributes; use a Code block:
<a href="/book" data-goal="book_call">Book a call</a>
See Custom goals.
Track purchases
Squarespace does not allow this code on Commerce checkout pages, so Stickybeak cannot receive order amounts. Count an order-confirmation page visit on your domain instead. See Revenue.
If it isn't working
- Check the plan and custom domain.
- Test logged out, not in the editor.
See Troubleshooting.
